Leonard W. Juhnke, an associate, joined Carney Badley Spellman in 2007. His practice focuses on construction law, real estate law, land use and civil litigation.

Prior to law school, Mr. Juhnke worked in the construction industry as an engineer and project manager on bridge, highway, and marine projects in the Northwest and California. He also worked in the Land Use Services Division of a local municipality where he reviewed residential and commercial development proposals for code compliance. He has extensive practical experience throughout all phases of development, from scoping and permitting though contract award and construction with environmental review and compliance issues.

The LEED Green Building Rating System is a nationally accepted rating and certification system for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Mr. Juhnke has a thorough understanding of the certification process for the LEED Green Building Rating System, and can assist clients in developing, building, and leasing "green" buildings.

Mr. Juhnke focuses his practice on helping construction clients prepare contracts that protect their rights and deter future litigation, and in asserting their contract rights through arbitration and litigation. Mr. Juhnke also handles real estate matters and litigation involving breach of residential real estate contracts, liens, title disputes and other real property disputes.
