Timothy J. Parker, a principal, served for many years as President of Carney Badley Spellman, P.S., and as head of the litigation section.
He currently practices full time in the areas of civil litigation and insurance regulation. He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and American Board of Trial Advocates. He has defended class actions and tried numerous jury cases in state and federal courts involving employment discrimination, defamation, wrongful death, personal injury and subrogation. He has handled a variety of administrative cases before state agencies including Form A hearings, rate and form filings and enforcement actions initiated by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner and the Department of Financial Institutions.
Mr. Parker has been an invited speaker at numerous Continuing Legal Education and insurance industry seminars on the topics of discovery rules, legislative developments, and class action defense.
Mr. Parker graduated with honors from Willamette University College of Law in 1978 and has had a trial practice in the Seattle area since that time.
Mr. Parker was named a Washington Law and Politics' Super Lawyer for each of the last ten years, including 2010. In addition, he was recognized by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine as one of "King County's Top Lawyers 2010." Seattle Metropolitan Magazine culled their list using the Martindale-Hubbell ratings. Mr. Parker has been awarded an "AV" Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell®. This rating is given to attorneys that demonstrate the highest ethical standards and professional ability.
