Jason W. Anderson, a shareholder, is a litigator whose practice focuses on civil appeals and insurance law.
Jason came to appellate practice having worked on more than 100 appellate cases during judicial clerkships with judges David Armstrong and Robin Hunt at Division Two of the Washington State Court of Appeals. Jason has since served as appellate counsel in dozens of cases involving torts, contracts, insurance, employee benefits, domestic relations, and other areas of law. He has appeared in all levels of Washington State's appellate courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Jason's insurance practice includes insurance coverage, bad faith, class actions, and insurance regulation. He represents life, health, property and casualty, and other insurers in bad faith litigation and class actions, including cases brought under consumer protection laws. He also represents insurance carriers and producers in proceedings before the Office of the Insurance Commissioner of the State of Washington, addressing matters including license revocation, approval of transactions, market conduct, and financial condition and reserves. Jason publishes a blog on Washington insurance law.
In addition to the above work, Jason has trial litigation and arbitration experience in personal injury and commercial cases and class actions.
